A two-day Inquiry journey in the north along the spectrum of Jewish identity, in which the multifaceted nature of Jewish identity was revealed through people, places, and experiences.

In Haifa, we were guests of the Hadarim Center, located at Haifa’s Hebrew Reali School, and met with director Dani Steiner and Co.Lab 04 alumnus Mendy Rabinowitz, the Reali principal, who shared their worldviews. Rabbi Elchanan Rosenfeld related coping with teenage dropouts in haredi society, and Laura Talinovsky, COO of the Shaharit organization and a social activist, took us on a walking tour through the streets of the special Hadar neighborhood. At the end of the day we visited the art gallery of Tamar Messer, a multidisciplinary artist.

In the evening we continued with a trip on the Carmelit to a Haifa home in the Ahuza neighborhood, with a dinner prepared by the group and a hands-on playback workshop with Hisham Suleiman – Co.Lab 07 graduate, actor, and creator, and with Elias Kassis accompanying us on the Oud.

On the second day, we were hosted by Rabbi Avi Novis Deutsch, Co.Lab 01 graduate and dean of the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary, where we met inspiring women and learned more about the uniqueness of the community.
