Divided into pairs, the group members moved like a shadow over the land, traveling to peek into each other’s personal and professional lives. Co.Lab’s “shadowing” activity provides another layer of familiarity into the other’s life – their home, community, or workplace when they are in meetings, professional tours, and family gatherings.

We concluded the process at the Na’Lagaat Center in Jaffa, an inspiring place in itself. There we also met Oren Itzhaki, CEO of the center and a graduate of Co.Lab 05. The streets of Jaffa’s port, the beach, and the crashing waves – all formed a perfect setting for the pairs’ processing conversations.

We cannot convey in writing the feelings, closeness, and deep familiarity that were formed, in addition to the significant insights that the participants gained about themselves.

Later in the day, we met with a UJA delegation, practiced our English, and got to know each other better by playing Pardon the Question, just before we’ll meet again in New York.
