This two-day journey was the first one this cohort that was held face to face and included an overnight stay. It dealt with distributive justice. The participants visited Kiryat Malachi, heard a fascinating lecture by Elior Amar (one of the fellows who led the journey and a member of Kiryat Malachi’s city council), toured neighborhoods with local social activists, met Yeruham Mayor Tal Ohana, had lunch at a local organization in Yeruham in which women host visitors in their homes for a tasty meal. In the evening they enjoyed the beautiful desert night, hearing a lecture on stars and observing them through telescopes. On the second day they toured Lakiya, visited the Desert Stars organization, and heard from a panel on Bedouin settlement in the Negev that included representatives from Bedouin cities as well as the Authority for Development and Settlement of the Bedouin in the Negev. At the end of the day, they held a discussion session that reflected the work process prior to the journey and dealt with several topics that arose during those two days.
